Brandon Lee is just as good story as his father Комментарий от : @emperortrevornorton3119 |
Thank you for a very touching memorial review of Brandon Lee and his work on this film. I understand he was very proud of it when it came out and it often unfairly gets overshadowed by his performance in The Crow. Rapid Fire is a lot of fun and representative of the fun lighthearted action films of the 80's and 90s. I personally love the opening action sequencies; thank you for pointing out the references to Jackie Chan and John Woo, I had no idea. As always, fan of your content, keep up the great work. -J Комментарий от : @JDugald221 |

My Dad introduced me to this movie when I was a kid and when he told me Brandon Lee was Bruce Lee's son I was like "Oh shit" and this film blew me away the first time I saw it and after watching it again recently it still kicks all kinds of ass! Комментарий от : @Graham2468 |
i would just add that Brandons stunt team with Jeff imada went on to be one of the greatest of all time working on films like John Wick and the Matrix. goated Комментарий от : @ChaseArkansas |
Rapid fire is so dang bad ass for real! love Brandon Lee he wouldve been an even bigger mega star, but still a Legend absolutely. Комментарий от : @ChaseArkansas |
Great job Chris Комментарий от : @craigkelly2266 |
I don't know if I like this or not but it was interesting and I can almost smell the love. Комментарий от : @apologeticpest4304 |
BTW this film needs to be on Disney plus! Комментарий от : @SFNDMK |
I think Jake was a military brat. I haven't seen the film in a while, but wasn't his father served in the army? Could be an explanation Комментарий от : @SFNDMK |
I have never seen this movie all the way through, but this is a good reminder to me to add it to my list. I'm a fan of lee and a fan of the genre. Комментарий от : @smirky101 |
I could see Brandon expand his horizons doing other genres of film, even working behind the camera. <sigh> what could have been R.I.P. Brandon Lee Комментарий от : @lilPopper |
iAM llive they lie that it word Комментарий от : @masterg3227 |
I bought this on VHS a few years after Lee passed away. I really enjoyed it. Комментарий от : @avace917 |
Dude you so got Brandon Комментарий от : @tyrone7635 |
Brandon was a good athlete with natural skills. His charisma was off the chart and he was on his way to surpass Van Damme, Seagal, etc. Brandon Lee , you are missed and your star still burns white hot. Комментарий от : @kingsman8475 |
Brandon Lee's Death was no Accident....there are some people out there, that know exactly what really happened to him, hopefully they will come forward with the truth one Day... Комментарий от : @MrMustard2U |

haha this is my favorite Monday matinee flick ever...the TV always airs it once sometimes thrice a year and i always kept watching them from the mid 90s to early millennium...when the TV network just decided 2 cancel all the action classic matinees for crap superhero titles like Xmen i straight away hunt down for used DVD copy of it and i still kept it pristine 2 this day hahahaha Комментарий от : @szewei85 |
this crap, i wanted to see the movie, get your discription right, ya plonker Комментарий от : @gibby7233 |
Christopher Young's score is great in this too, particularly in the fight scene with Al Leong. Комментарий от : @JamesInDigital |
Rapid Movie is such an underated movie. Комментарий от : @jakelam5089 |
Always loved that movie Brandon truly was good actor Комментарий от : @damienhowell3727 |
I was about 14 when Brandon died. I was really heavily into martial arts at the time. Mainly Jeet Kune Do (because of his father's influence on my life)... I was also competing in international Taekwondo tournaments at the time, for "ATA" (American Taekwondo Association). I had a big tournament coming up when I found out the news of Brandons death. I went in my room, and cried like a member of my OWN family had died! It really effected me pretty bad. He was a PHENOMENAL actor and martial artist! I haven't kept up the practice through the years (quitting when I was about 23). But the spirit of the experience stays with me to this day! I will always feel indebted to Brandon (and of course his father), for giving me something to strive towards in my youth. It kept me off of drugs, off the streets, and in shape. As well as teaching me a thing or two, about "integrity" and "self respect"! So, "THANK YOU" Brandon and Bruce, for being the most AWESOME role models, and personal "HEROES", that a young man could ever ask for, and look up to!! 🙏🥋☯️ Комментарий от : @sarlaccstapeworm990 |
Bravo super among all Комментарий от : @sulemanswaleh2077 |
Thanks man for that in-depth review of one of my favorite action flicks of the 90s. I was about 13 and I had asked my friends to go see Rapid Fire with me and no one wanted to go. I had rented ‘showdown in little Tokyo’ before and was blown away! So I begged my mom and we played hooky one day and I got to see that movie in theatres on a Tuesday matinee! $4.25! He was electric man, I liked everybody at that time (Dudicoff, Segall, Norris, Chan, Van Damn, etc) he had a bounce to his dialogue and moves just like his dad, a constant bounce and energy. My mom loved the movie too. Rapid Fire is a fun big screen memory for me. Комментарий от : @DorianCleveland |
Showdown in little Tokyo is so underrated Комментарий от : @11bravo1789 |
Best line in the movie by far Brandon Lee “ Pop tarts, More pop tarts!” He was the coolest, smoothest, funniest actor I ever saw back in the day. He says many iconic lines in the film. “ He’s the best cop I know. “ Female cop “You need to get out more. “ Brandon Lee He passed while I was in high school. Though my class mate in biology class looked just like him. It was uncanny. He is sorely missed! ☹️ Комментарий от : @evelynmatt2000 |
Damn it..youtube took this Movie down..all there is just MOVIE CLIPS..or lack there of..RAPID FIRE was a great movie.. RIP BRANDON LEE,28 was too young Комментарий от : @chengfusaechao7243 |

What was the Indiana jones rip off that has a scene where a jeep falls through the ceiling while the hero counts it down on his have to a middle finger? I can't remember the title or anything else about it, i was very young. Комментарий от : @findkip |
Chris Bumbray, you are a hell of a better narrator than the idiot of Home Alone 3. Keep up the good work. As to the HA3 idit narrator, go to hell! Комментарий от : @gerardosuarez7473 |
I've never seen Rapid Fire. The UK poster of the movie is awesome. Комментарий от : @danielwilliamson6180 |
Funny that the lead singer of hardline went to do crush 40 Комментарий от : @luckykennedy7364 |
I agree I was obsessed as a kid with this movie, had a crush on Brandon Lee 😎😂 Комментарий от : @meitalpo |
When the FEDS are interrogating Jake after the art gallery action scene... They talk about his past... And, he was a special forces guy or something... That's how they explained how a college student got so good with guns! Watch it again, bro! Комментарий от : @robzilla71300 |
Nicely done, I remember I used to live in the states at the time and I heard on the news as I was stashing my 44 under the sofa the legendary Bruce Lee’s son Brandon Lee has died and I too was devastated, thank you for this nostalgic moment keep up the good work be safe out there everybody... Brandon Lee would have been fantastic as Batman. Комментарий от : @jaysonraphaelmurdock8812 |
I actually enjoyed this movie more then the Crow. Комментарий от : @thunderbird66613 |
It wouldn't be the 90's without vests. Комментарий от : @mediasawdust2458 |
1:16 Give me a break with all that me too Seagal bashing, his first movies were outstanding and his acting made them outstanding, as opposed to some muscle bound meatheads broken english cliche lines, what's funny is that in this very clips you show a great acting of his... that's what made him great, the way hi delivers it. Комментарий от : @ambientblue-eyedmonkey8849 |
RiP Al Leong.best henchman of the era.pretty much best henchman ever. Комментарий от : @philipsmi-lenguyen8155 |
Best movie u never saw.Donnie Yens Dragon Tiger Gate.it's a chinese mcu comic book movie adaptation that is really really realistic to the source material n the fight scenes are awesome af Комментарий от : @philipsmi-lenguyen8155 |
So sad he would've definitely hit heath ledger like fame if he lived past the 1st crow movie Комментарий от : @bigstunna2049 |
As cheesy as Laser Mission is you need to talk about it (maybe Legacy Of Rage and Kung Fu The Movie too) Комментарий от : @AlexGreat321 |
Saw Showdown in Little Tokyo and didnt know it was Lee's son. Then Rapid Fire came out and i was so psyched about it. Love those 2 films. Комментарий от : @rick9977015 |
..this is a good movie..but in some scenes Brandons kicks and punches look really poor to the trained MA eye. Makes me wonder how good brandon would have been had his father lived. Over as an actor he was def star potential and a great actor Комментарий от : @robdcollector2808 |
We need studios to remaster these in 4k Комментарий от : @rhumash5977 |
Nice doin business with ya! Комментарий от : @Mattsta2010 |
Even watching Rapid Fire and The Crow today you can see that Brandon had all the instincts of a really good actor just like Heath Ledger or Mel Gibson in their early movies. Комментарий от : @stiimuli |
the thing about a college kid knowing how to use a gun........its america man.....thats all that you need to know Комментарий от : @1369Stiles |
Finally this classic action movie. This and The crow showed that Brandon would have had a decent career Комментарий от : @JohnMcGurrell |
Another criminally underrated action movie that belongs in this series is Boyka: Undisputed 4. One of my guiltiest pleasures. Комментарий от : @evilzzzability |
The Crow is one of my favorite films. No doubt he would have been a star. The fight scenes in Rapid Fire were ahead of their time. That gritty kung-fu that is the typical now at a time when they were over the top hurricane kick scenes. Комментарий от : @russellward4624 |
Man I love your videos the title is funny since Ive seen all the "never saw" films haha you brought me back to my childhood though man when you mentioned "Dream On" Im convinced nobody else has seen that show..if you havent already maybe you can do one on "Class of 1999" 😎👌 Комментарий от : @realjimmyd |
We came down the chimney Ho Ho....Ho Комментарий от : @mikegrady5669 |
1:20 Master Acting! Комментарий от : @gregofcanada4494 |
I was very sad when Brandon Lee passed away . Комментарий от : @TheGuesteMC |
As you point out, this is a fab action movie, and again like you, I'm also convinced Brandon Lee died on the brink of becoming a major star. He had it all: the pedigree, the talent, the charisma, the moves, the bod, and was drop-dead handsome to boot. And unlike most macho action stars, he was believable when romancing the ladies and clearly had the range to do different things. Tragic that he died so young and we didn't get to enjoy a fuller legacy from him, especially when we're surrounded by so many people who could have done the world a favor by leaving early... Комментарий от : @ffeffashgrove |
Great overview. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Комментарий от : @spacemountain5624 |
The best Brandon Lee movie ever R.i.p. Brandon Lee .1965-1993 Комментарий от : @davidclementsclements2586 |
What, no mention og Antonio Sabato Jr. movies? Комментарий от : @marcelmoreau2733 |
Ok, now I need to find this and Little Tokyo on DVD. Комментарий от : @villehytonen7279 |
Nah, Legacy of Rage is much much better than this. When it comes to fighting, Hollywood is way too behind Hong Kong's. Комментарий от : @lengyang8830 |
7:20 that post audio tho lol "as far as I'm concerned" Комментарий от : @bennygerow |
This was a UK TV staple during the late 90s if I remember. Комментарий от : @jacobturnerart |
Thank you for these "Best Movie You Never Saw" videos. Although to be truthful, I HAVE seen most of em. Any chance you can do more Dolph Lundgren flicks? Anyway, I saw this in theater and, like you, I think that Brandon Lee should have gotten more opportunities in good scripts, like this one. I love Rapid Fire. Комментарий от : @jackmackakaheavyguyhaiku545 |
Seen it ! Комментарий от : @daniel-zh9nj6yn6y |
Of course, we all saw this. After the shock of his death, all of his movies were played relentlessly. Комментарий от : @Spiritbro77 |
His father's greatest on film enemy was Brandon's enemy here also, Bolo Young.. I still remember the night I saw the news. What a shame Комментарий от : @hankmessaros1835 |
I've seen this one too! Комментарий от : @t.versteeg3723 |
Emphasis on the MOVIE STAR HANDSOME...Effortlessly handsome... Комментарий от : @danicawolfetp |
The fight scenes in this movie were awesome. Brandon Lee was a great actor. Комментарий от : @veganrican606 |
He was gone way too soon. Комментарий от : @zeusbacchushades |
I absolutely LOVE rapid fire, saw it back in the day on TNT,late night, enjoyed it very much.Later bought it on dvd. This is a very solid action film.NUFF SAID. Комментарий от : @powerbad696 |
It's funny you mentioned Dream On, because the star of Dream On co stared with Dolph Lundgren in one of my favorites from my teens. I Come In Peace. I told a guy at my job about that movie yesterday. Комментарий от : @clownafra3236 |
Oh please any self respecting action movie fan has seen this underrated gem. Комментарий от : @actionado8216 |
I remember walking into my grandmother's house and seeing that he had died, on the news. I was crushed too - he had a great future. Комментарий от : @GlueTubber |
“Anytime You Need Me (I’ll Be There),” by Hardline off of the Double Eclipse album is a classic. Any other movies you want to tell me I haven’t seen there buddy? Just kidding. It’s good your getting this out there. Nick Mancuso and Powers Booth for the win! Комментарий от : @beastmendelegate1946 |
Nice Video. Rapid Fire is imho a small classic of action cinema virtually faultless. Dwight H. Little is an unsung talent. Комментарий от : @MrPornoforpandas |
To answer your question about how Jake became good with a gun, his dad was in the Army Комментарий от : @ortaeo |
I still get sad when I see Brandon act. What a tragic talent. There's an alternate universe out there somewhere where he's still churning out hits, and probably co-starring in the Expendables movies. Комментарий от : @EricDean |
I think the plot & storyline was a tad 🤔. Lee was a big 🤩. He put a lot in the role. No doubt if Lee lived hed be a major Hollywood film star 🎭🎬📼💻🎥. Powers Boothe was + too. I think his gay life style & hard 🍸🥃🍺 drinking reputation hurt his entertainment career. Комментарий от : @DavidLLambertmobile |
Fantastic movie, I've always loved it. As a wing chun student at the time, the trapping in the final fight with Al Leong felt amazing to see on the big screen. I thought this was one of the worst performances in Powers Boothe's career though, he was too far over the top. Комментарий от : @bobdriscoll3310 |
Sometimes critics don't know shit. This film was superb!! Комментарий от : @TheHybridRules |
If it's not "Rapid Fire" that I'm remembering, what is the early 1990 action movie that stars a student refugee from Hong Kong who runs afoul of the Chinese government in North Ametica? I think Tianamin Square is involved somehow, and the student's sister as well. I thought it was "Rapid Fire" but I appear to be mistaken. Комментарий от : @Morrigan070671 |
showdown in little toyko was classic Комментарий от : @jonsnipe5484 |
